McDonald performs hits from his successful solo career and is joined by Doobie Brothers, Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons on such classic Doobie Brother songs as, “What A Fool Believes,” “Blackwater,” “Taking it to the Streets,” and many others. Highlights of the evening include a special appearance by Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson, the imaginative husband and wife song writing team. Along with McDonald they reprise some of their classic hits including, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” Other selections include “All in Love is Fair,” performed with an orchestra, and additional songs from Michael McDonald’s upcoming solo album, which is a tribute to the songs of Motown.
