I never expected to organize and lead a peaceful protest in Mississippi in order to fight for justice and equality for my African American brothers and sisters in America. I never expected that a group of around 150 people, composed of all races, cultures, and ethnicities, would come together as one and demand justice and change in front of the Governor's Mansion in downtown Jackson. I never expected that with a deep, ugly racial past, Mississippi would make history by standing together, as one, on May 31, 2020 to take a STAND against racial prejudice, injustices, and oppression. I never expected for Mississippi to come this far.
