A day’s work is changing our seven month-old martial arts business into a community creative space. Nobody knows when it will be safe to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in our small, rural community again--or when anyone will feel comfortable doing it. So, in early June, we made a huge pivot and transitioned business. We moved from my husband's dream (owning his own jiu jitsu school) to my dream (teaching arts and crafts to our small community.)
It's been heart breaking and exhilarating and the learning curve has been steep. But here we are. I spend my days preparing paint-at-home and craft-at-home kits and instructions for our online, virtual classes. We have a 1200 square foot studio space.
