My American story started when I was born to Mary and Joseph on Christmas Day. I am the fourth of eight children. We grew up very poor. My father worked at Forrest Lawn Cemetery which did not pay much. The greatest thing to happen for me was going to college. One sister and one brother also are college graduates. Not bad for the way we grew up. When I was young I wanted to play the piano but we had no money for lessons much less a piano. But at age 38 I started piano lessons. What a joy. I also had wanted a horse when young. I managed this dream to come true at age 52 when I purchased Cooperstown Kid. Though we had a rough upbringing all of my brothers and sisters have surpassed the economic situation of our parents and all that went before.
