The tradition I carry on is ... When I was younger, my family and my cousin’s family went on a few vacations to the mountains together. My mom and aunt would make my grandmother's enchiladas (what they considered our secret family recipe), along with family-picked fresh peach or blackberry pie (we called it cobbler)—our two favorites. It sounds like a weird food combination now, but those two recipes are in some of my fondest memories together. I hope to do this with my sister's and my own family one day.
