I was raised to believe that we are all created equal, that life is interdependent and ecological, we are as good and as weak as our weakest link. I have learned to listen to myself and others, to trust my judgment, to have fun, to learn, to laugh, to share, to admit mistakes, apologize for them, learn from them, to understand that no one is perfect, but any one of us can be, strive to be better. I wasn't taught to talk too much. I learned that on my own, but, I also believe that we have two ears and a mouth for a reason: to listen more than we talk. And I try to. I, like you, am a work in progress. I'm not everything I can or should be, but, I'm improving. And, I'm "better" for my efforts. My wife of 35 years may disagree with that, but, we're still married, happily - mostly.
