I never expected I was born on a river bottom farm in Pickett County far from the noise of the city. I lived with my parents and and six older brothers. It was a happy home/work place where everyone shared in the chores. In 1943 my family was disrupted. The Dale Hollow Dam was constructed which required us to relocate to Murfreesboro and war broke out. After I graduated from high school I attended Tennessee Tech and met my husband, a Methodist minister. In 1966 the church gave us an extensive trip abroad. Later it afforded me the opportunity to become a travel agent, tour escort, and travel throughout the world. Who would have expected!
