My greatest challenge is overcoming my fear of stuttering. I have stuttered ever since I can remember and it varies in intensity from day to day. You never know what type of day it will be until the teacher calls you out to answer a question. I only became self aware of this quirk of my own after kids would tease me if I even began to speak in middle school. But since then, the whole world has turned around. I started up speech therapy during the summer of eighth grade and I have been going ever since. Believe me, that is one of the best things I have ever done. I am now going into my Sophomore year of high school and since then, my self-confidence has gone up sky-high when compared to before. I now feel like I can be myself for the first time in my life without having to worry about a little stutter.
