What keeps me up at night is…
What keeps me up at night is thinking about the people in my life and how they have affected me. I frequently think about my father. My parents are divorced and I have not seen him in over a decade. I don't know if I can forgive him because I can't forgive someone who keeps making the same mistakes. I honestly have no desire to have him in my life, but I would like to have an honest conversation with him and understand why he did the things he did and why he is the way he is.
I also think about the way I've treated people and how they've treated me. It's little events that stick with me the most. Certain events replay in my mind. More often than not I wish I had responded to things differently. I wish I would have been nicer sometimes. Sometimes I wish I would have stuck up for myself.
