To me, work means helping people by giving 100% whether I am having a bad day or not.
Patients are looking for a friendly or kind face or voice to help them and especially throughout the last few months with the coronavirus and the anxiety people are feeling.
I was furloughed in April due to the virus and upon my return realizing what the virus has done to the physical and mental health of our patients was a true eye opener. I felt that, in my 25 plus years of working here, this was the most intense period of trying to calm patients as there were no concrete answers to provide.
I look forward to coming to work- my coworkers and I have a good rapport and everyday hope I can help every patient I speak with or see.
