My American story started when…
My American story started when I was a little girl living in the country where I was born, Trinidad and Tobago. I was the daughter of Andrew and Dorothy Gajadhar (divorced). I met my American mother about the age of 7 or 8 in Trinidad. From then on my life was in preparation for when I would be living in the USA. I was tought that I must learn to speak properly because till then my language was broken English. I was 12 when I left Trinidad on the way to a new and improved life here in the USA with my new family. My stepmother, 2 stepbrothers, my stepsister and 1 of my 2 biological brothers. I did not mention my father, this is because he was not around which left me with just one person of whom I was familiar with, my biological brother, Wayne. Wayne was 18 and joined the army shortly after arriving here in the USA.
