My American story started when…
My American story started when at the age of 29 I was released from prison after serving 7 years. After spending the better part of a decade incarcerated, I found myself back home, looking for a job, with a felony and dishonorable discharge on my record. Not to mention a pretty good case of post-traumatic stress disorder that had never been dealt with. Oh yeah, by the way, I was convicted in a military court martial and did my time at The United States Disciplinary Barracks Ft. Leavenworth Kansas. I was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and three counts of false official statements.
