To me, work means that I’m able to make money and use some of it to pursue passions I had as a kid and to continue them as an adult. One of those primary areas is playing ice hockey. I started playing in 1974 in 5th grade. Unfortunately my high school canceled their hockey program the year I started and I never played organized hockey after that. Move forward around 30 years and I’m living in the Milwaukee, WI area and a good friend from high school tells me he’s playing in an adult league and that I should get back into playing. I go and watch his game and decide that I want to play again. This time the motivation is our friendship and new friendships. In the last 13 plus years I’ve been a player and team captain and have hundreds of new friends. I’m still playing at 57.
