I was raised to believe
, generally, in these things: the hardest truth is better than a lie; generosity/being generous and kind is key to living life well; and that designing and building things -most particularly, houses - is super fun and worthwhile and therefore, BUILD STUFF! Our family has collectively built several houses (five of them in one-quarter square mile); my oldest brother is an architect and designed and built a house and renovated another; my other brother designed and built one house and is now building another; I built myself a house that my brother designed with me(and he, my mom and my dad helped me build it) and I've renovated three houses myself. Using tools and creating things by hand is amazing! I think many people fear using tools, think they can't build, but it's not true! ANYONE CAN!
