I was raised to believe that there is always hope if you have faith. In June of 2003, I finished graduate school, earning my MA in Education. I switched careers at 42 years old to become a teacher. After a Memorial Day ceremony, the job hunt was on. While I would have been hired where I student taught, there were no openings. My resumes were printed when I found out my mother's renal cell cancer had returned; she had only a couple weeks to live. Mom died on the last Friday in June. As her executor I had to redirect my priorities. The job search had to wait. At Mass on Sunday, I told God the job was in His hands. If it was out there, He would find it for me. "Have faith," I told myself while feeling some concern. The very next day, the phone rang. An opening where I student taught became the answer to my prayers!
