My greatest challenge is…
My greatest challenge is choosing to advocate for global disability inclusion on a daily basis. I have dwarfism and I proudly identify with the disability community. As a public speaker and disability advocate, my life’s mission is to change society’s perception of people with disabilities. People with disabilities have historically been portrayed negatively in the media and that influences how society thinks to treat us. More specifically, most people have not seen a person with dwarfism in their everyday life and this is where their negative assumptions about our capabilities lie. I challenge everyone to ask questions and not make assumptions. Disability is one community that anyone can join at any point in their life. Whether someone has a disability or not, we all want to be accepted treated with kindness.
