The people I relate to arefunny, well-traveled, multi-cultural and love Nature. I became a linguist because my grandfather, who was a German from Russia, spoke four. My family is known for their humor, so when I became an English as a Second Language teacher, I made sure to mix culture with language and I believe Americans like to laugh and appreciate humor. Growing up on a farm in North Dakota, I learned to appreciate Nature and to take care of it. In high school in the early 70s, we were given a garbage bag and dropped off a mile from town and told to clean the way back. It’s one of the lessons I would never forget. I started my travels by joining the Peace Corps, where I taught high school in Morocco. Making students laugh over stories of my life and my country, became my career,
