My parent(s) wanted me to…
My parent(s) wanted me tonever let people forget about the holocaust! They were holocaust survivors and I am their only child. They met and married in Israel where I was born. Their dream was to come to the land of the free, we’re they sought religious freedom where they were not going to be persecuted or discriminated against. The land of opportunity, the golden land of the best country in the world America. The journey was difficult and took over six years, but we made it!Unfortunately antisemitism reared its ugly head and is alive and growing. I am so happy that they aren’t here to feel the fear, insecurities, and panic !America enabled them to fulfill their dreams. With very hard work and bullish determination America became their forever home. And they were proud to be Americans.
