My parent(s) wanted me to graduate from college and do something with my life. "Big deal" you probably think. However, I was born in 1938 and raised on a small farm in Wisconsin where my father was born and went 8 years to the same one room country school. Feminists believe that girls like me were all expected to marry young and have a family. Not me! I grew up believing I would go to college, graduate, and have a career before marriage. It never occurred to me that being female should make any difference! There wasn't entertainment when I was a child but my mother had stacks of National Geographics which I pored over so I was aware of other worlds out there which I wanted to see. Not only have I traveled all over but have acquired 3 degrees in order to have 3 different careers.
