A day’s work is feeding the hungry.
For Rachel Roberts, a longtime volunteer at Loudoun Hunger Relief, helping others is just what she does every day. Rachel volunteers at Loudoun Hunger Relief each week to help stock shelves and assist people in getting the groceries they need to feed their families. But she does so much more. For the past 8 years, Rachel has grown an enormous cutting garden, used the flowers to create arrangements, and provided the arrangements to the public in return for donations to Loudoun Hunger Relief. She is closing in on $100,000 raised to help the hungry in our community, and should reach that milestone in the 2020 growing season.
Rachel is growing love and kindness in her garden. Her flowers become food for those in need and there is nothing more beautiful.
