My Saturday night looks like the back of house at a restaurant. There's water boiling, pots on the stove, pans frying, onions and meat. I just love what food does for people, for family. It's such a way to bring people together. Our family is small right now. It's my wife and my son, so on Saturday nights you'll find me carrying him around, showing him what onions look like when they're sautéing, when to know when the water's ready, and thinking through what needs to happen next. It's really a time for my wife, my son and I to be together. We're in the kitchen. It's the heart of our home. We're sharing time together. We're sharing something we've made together because it feels right.
