You don’t know what it’s like to be retired engineers and decide to write a creative non-fiction historical novel about our families as museum fundraisers...nary a creative writing class between us...but we did! To carry forward the vision of my husband of 52 years, I must do so as his widow: produce the adapted stage play. When I was age 14 he began to spend more time visiting me on the porch swing than practicing his trumpet to my piano accompaniment for contest. We lived on adjoining properties and married after college. My memories and commitment to our shared goals bring me joy. Playwright studies call my name.
