A day’s work isto begin another adventure in rescuing an abused, neglected, old or worn out piece of furniture. You may ask why do I bother? Because it matters to me to save them. I can't save the world but I can save furniture! I get immense satisfaction lovingly giving it a good clean up. A glimmer of hope begins. After many hours of sweat the beauty starts shining through. It may have some scars that cannot be removed, but that doesn't stop me. I have scars too. This is therapy. Then to share all of this with a finished product others can use again makes life worth living. That is how I finally figured out why I bother. It is to save myself in ways I would never have known if I had given up on restoring that old neglected dresser with seven layers of chipped paint, so many years ago!
