I was raised to believe…
I was raised to believe that not everything will go your way, that not everything is about yourself, that not everything will be given to a person. My parents were not the wealthiest nor were they the poorest, they got me anything that I needed for school, such as clothes, pens, binders, and ect. I was raised to believe that school was everything, school was the key to success and a good future. I was also raised to believe that anything under a B in my report card was counted as failing. My parents wanted me to believe that if I was not successful, such as completing high school and college then they would look at me differently. I get it, all my parents wanted was for me to complete my work, go to college, get a good job, and to have a happy life.
