I was raised to believe none of us are free unless all of us are free. My Fathers parents immigrated to the US before WWII and only one other family member escaped being killed by the Nazis. My Mothers parents were Union organizers in NYC, standing up for workers rights. My father was an artist who became a psychologist and worked in a veterans hospital. My Mother was an innovative educator who taught me to love life-long learning. I am a community media maker and my husband is an amazing Painter. We connected with concerned & pro-active members of our community, who participate in sustainable practices on our own stoops, connecting each other to available resources to build the local economy, protect green space, & fight for food justice.
