PBS programs were honored with five News Emmy® Awards, the second most-earned by any organization. The winners were announced via a live-streamed ceremony at the 41st Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards September 21, hosted by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. PBS series FRONTLINE earned four awards, followed by PBS NewsHour with one award.
PBS programs that received nominations included FRONTLINE (15), Independent Lens (8), PBS NewsHour (7), POV (8), Nature (3) and NOVA (3), among others.
