The Kommandantur, or command center, envisioned for Auschwitz concentration camp, depicted from from various angles.

The Kommandantur was never built, but at a cost of 3.3 million marks, it was meant to be a showpiece for the region.

From this building, it was imagined that the commandant of Auschwitz would both run the camp, and play host to the public.

This drawing was produced by architects of the Auschwitz Construction Office.
