I was with Charlie Battery, attached to India company 3/26 as a forward observer and radio operator. I called in artillery, air strikes and medvacs for the company. I was with Capt. Dabney on Hill 881 and at the combat base with Charlie Battery, making me the only marine to fight both on the hill and the base. My battery commander was Capt. O'Connor.
