The first thing Tamala does when creating a new lesson plan is to ask herself, “How can I make this lesson relevant to my students?” Her ultimate goal is to ensure that students are engaged and excited about learning. Using multiple formats, her students create book trailers, digital stories, public service announcements, and presentations. As the technology resource teacher, Tamala also supports colleagues and parents, through learning opportunities like her “technology-infused” parent workshops. She also leads the robotics extended learning program at her school.
Fun Fact: Tamala is a National Board Certified Teacher and credits the process for helping her to become a more reflective practitioner.
