VESPASIAN 69-79
69 AD - Year of the Four Emperors.
One of the most turbulent years in Rome's history. Otho, Galba's deputy, is passed over as heir. He rallies the Praetorian Guard, who cut down Galba and his heir in public and parade their heads through the streets of Rome. Civil war erupts as different generals fight for the throne. Otho and Vitellius reign briefly before Vespasian is named emperor and founds the Flavian dynasty.
