About the Film
The idyllic Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands is abuzz with the news of ‘the Million Dollar Corgi Quest’, a competition run by Buckingham Palace. They are in search of the direct descendant of the Queen's corgi, who visited the shores back in ‘74 and got loose and busy with some of the local mutts.

Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC) is dedicated to supporting, advancing, and developing Pacific Island media content and talent that results in a deeper understanding of Pacific Island history, culture, and contemporary challenges. In keeping with the mission, PIC helps Pacific Islander stories reach national audiences through funding support for productions, training and education, broadcast services, and community outreach.
The Film Raro challenge brings teams of filmmakers from all over the globe to take part in a social and economic development project set in the tropical south pacific destination of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. Its aims are to build the capacity of local filmmakers by providing an opportunity to work alongside professional filmmakers to produce short films. The films produced, the knowledge and experience shared will raise the capacity of Cook Island storytellers to then tell their own digital stories to their people and the world.
