About the Film
Father Roy Snipes has lived in Texas his whole life and seen it all, especially along the Mexico border. He has dedicated his life to the oblates and keeping religion down to earth. After the threat of a possible wall construction near a historic church in Mission, Texas, the community takes a stand and Father Roy spares insights to the current political climate.
About the Filmmaker(s)
Carlos Estrada is a southern filmmaker based in Austin, Texas whose work centers on providing a voice to Latinx-American stories. He is currently pursuing his MFA degree in film production at The University of Texas at Austin. Carlos has works in both, documentary and fiction and is hoping to continue exploring the two mediums to always capture authentic human moments. His work as a writer/director has screened at Cannes Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival and Houston Latino Film Festival.
