"The documentary form has always been a love of mine, but I am also fascinated by complimentary experimental approaches to creativity. We Speak is a result of my interest in working in the abstract space of storytelling, and it was an opportunity to push myself to learn about immersive media. This short is also a reflection of what it means to me to be an Indigenous person living in the fast paced reality of the city yet surrounded by the stories of elders and the natural world."
