This Veterans Day I am reminded of all the wonderful veterans I met this year filming Lidia Celebrates America – Homegrown Heroes.
I had such a fantastic time connecting with this new breed of veteran – those men and women who have chosen to become farmers. They served their country by fighting for it, and now continue to serve by tending to the land that they fought so valiantly for. Their resilience, their sense of service, and their strength left an indelible impression on me.

In Homegrown Heroes, Lidia looks at veterans who return home and find farming to be a path back to civilian life.
