Black kow is a variation on the classic root beer float.



  • 3/4 to 1 cup cold root beer
  • 3 small scoops vanilla ice cream
  • about 3/4 cup cold club soda (optional)


  1. Fill a tall glass about 1/3 full with root beer.
  2. Add 1 scoop ice cream.
  3. Pour in about ¼ cup more root beer. Add 2 more scoops of ice cream.
  4. Pour in enough root beer to fill glass.
  5. Serve with club soda to add for a little extra carbonation, if desired.
