Sandra Dickson, Churchill Roberts, Cindy Hill and Cara Pilson have worked together for more than 15 years producing documentaries for national distribution on PBS. Their works include the critically acclaimed Freedom Never Dies: The Legacy of Harry T. Moore, winner of the 2001 Erik Barnouw Award for Outstanding Historical Documentary, Giving Up the Canal, Campaign for Cuba and Last Days of the Revolution. These documentaries have been distributed internationally as well as on video.

Their most recent film, NEGROES WITH GUNS: Rob Williams and Black Power, has screened at numerous film festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival, New York Urbanworld (Best Documentary), Detroit Docs (Audience Award Feature Documentary) and the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. The filmmakers are affiliated with The Documentary Institute at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications. Through the university, they have received grants from The National Endowment for the Humanities, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Freedom Forum and The North Carolina Humanities Council.
