Martian Terrain

Known as the Red Planet, Mars is covered in a rusty soil with volcanic rocks scattering the surface. The diverse terrain includes canyons, mountains, volcanoes, craters and dry river beds. The river beds indicate that Mars once had liquid water on its surface.
