The concert will mark the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall, reflecting on the meaning of Memorial Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dedicated on Memorial Day, 1922, and built as a tribute to President Lincoln, the memorial features the words of two of his most famous speeches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gettysburg Address is less than 300 words. When Lincoln spoke them on that November day in 1863, they were words that were spoken in honor of those who gave the last full measure of their devotion for our nation, and have become so fitting every Memorial Day.<\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
