The work we do at NewsHour Classroom is not limited to just this site. We partner with other organizations both within the PBS learning community and outside of it.

PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs is building the next generation of informed media creators and consumers.

PBS Learning Media offers a range of free, standards-aligned instruction for grades K-12 developed by PBS partners, including NewsHour Classroom’s own content.

Share My Lesson provides teachers with free resources created by educators. Browsers can find NewsHour Classroom lessons and many other valuable resources here.

Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that brings engagement and fun to 1+ billion players every year at school, at work, and at home. NewsHour Classroom offers bi-weekly news quizzes and other current events quiz content through this platform.

Pear Deck is an easy to use slide-based web-based application for K–12 schools and teachers. NewsHour Classroom develops google slide versions of some of its lessons in collaboration with Pear Deck, offering a simple, graphically appealing way to teach current events.

InventEd is an initiative to formalize and grow the Invention Education field and to increase access to all students.

NewsHour Classroom’s Journalism in Action site is part of the Congress, Civic Participation, and Primary Sources Project. It is supported by a grant from the Library of Congress, and is also part of the Teaching with Primary Sources program, the Library of Congress’s premier educational outreach program for teachers.

The Teaching for Democracy Alliance is a network of educators and organizations that are working to strengthen student learning about elections and informed voting.

CivX Now and iCivics promote civics education through free resources and more. Member organizations pledge to ensure that every young person acquires the civic knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for informed and authentic civic engagement.
