From curriculum bans and political threats to heartbreaking events in the news, 2023 was a difficult year for teachers. Now more than ever, PBS NewsHour Classroom wants to say thank you — to the people who teach hard history, to the people who show up for the kids who need them, to the people who are passionate about creating a better future.
On Dec. 13, PBS NewsHour Classroom got together with actress Tara Strong to say a massive thank you to teachers for the work they do. If you haven't seen Strong, you will have more than likely heard her beloved voice over work on "The New Batman Adventures,"
"Teen Titans," "Rug Rats," the "PowerPuff Girls" and many, many more.
Educator Voice's monthly Zoom show on PBS NewsHour Classroom was attended by teachers and school staff from across the country. The series brings together educators to discuss important issues of the day and how they impact the classroom. You can watch the full session here and selected clips below.
