Updated 2:30 p.m. ET, December 1, 2021: This story has been updated to reflect that a fourth student has died following the shooting. At least four students were killed and eight wounded Tuesday after a shooting at their high school in southeastern Michigan. The suspect, a sophomore at the school, was taken into custody a few minutes after police responded to the shooting. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said the father of the suspect allegedly bought a gun recently and the boy posted pictures of it on social media. "I think this is every parent's worst nightmare," said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, adding that shootings at schools are "a uniquely American problem that we need to address."
