SUMMARY
Monday marked one year since the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks. Over this last year, the Israeli bombing and invasion of Gaza have exacted a terrible price on Gaza's people. More than 140,000 people (1 out of 20) have been killed or wounded, including 900 families who've been wiped off entirely from the civil registry, according to Gaza's Health Ministry.
The United Nations reports almost 2 million people have been displaced, nearly the entire population of Gaza, and many of them several times. "Nowhere in Gaza is safe," according to the report.
