ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Graphic Designer, Broadcast, you’ll help bring our reporting to life. You’ll be conceptualizing and executing on a variety of graphic elements that we will incorporate into our stories, interstitials, and other various projects. We encourage and expect staff to stay on top of their craft, recommending new tools as they becoming available and applicable to your work.
YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS
You’ll get to know your team and the wider organization, and how each group functions independently as well as part of the whole. You’ll establish key relationships with your peers. You’ll contribute to enterprising and breaking news, features, and analysis reporting for the website and broadcast starting on day one.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You are regularly creating graphics elements that take our reporting to the next level. You are consistently meeting deadlines with 100% accuracy. You bring a vibrancy and terrific ideas to meetings. You get kudos from not only your immediate team, but from others throughout the organization for your ability to connect as well as to get the job done.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• Skills to expertly navigate shifting priorities, deadline pressures, and multiple projects.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of people.
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe PS & AI, After Effects and Blender.
• Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Final Cut, Dreamweaver is highly desirable.
• A keen eye for graphic elements and making a story come to life.
• At least two (2) years’ experience.
• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
