ROBERT A. WILSON

Robert Wilson is the creator and guiding force behind Character Above All. He brought his concept from a university lecture series, to a book and a television program.
Mr. Wilson has had a long association with public broadcasting. From 1968 to 1975, he was president of KERA/TV and KERA/FM, a public television and radio station in Dallas. In that job, he hired Jim Lehrer, then the city editor of The Dallas Times Herald, to create the award winning nightly news program, "Newsroom."
As a writer, Mr. Wilson is a former columnist and contributing editor of D Magazine in Dallas, Texas. He has also contributed to The Dallas Morning News and The Boston Globe. The subjects ranged from Raymond Carver to E.B. White to the pain of being a longtime Red Sox fan. Since 1976, Mr. Wilson has been involved in corporate communications, including advertising, public relations, graphic design and film production. In 1994, he founded Wilson Communications in Dallas.
Mr. Wilson is married to photographer Laura Wilson. They have three sons, Andrew, Owen and Luke who have recently completed their first movie, Columbia Pictures' "Bottlerocket."
