Lily Garden
Because the land slopes down from the house toward the pond we mounded the garden bed. This gives us a better view and makes a well-drained situation for plants. Lilium, the stars in the garden, need good drainage, so I load this bed with Asiatic, Regale, Oriental and specie lilies. Of course, plenty of room remains for annuals, perennials, other bulbs, shrubs, and trees.
