Q&A with Devon Kennard
Last Updated by
American Football player, Devon Kennard, answers a few questions from The Great American Read:
What are you reading right now?
I am currently reading a book called Legacy by James Kerr. It is a book that talks about the All Blacks Rugby team which is the most successful sports team in all of sports. The book discusses the key characteristics they demand of themselves and how its lead them to sustained success.
What’s your favorite way to read? Hardback, paperback, or tablet?
I find myself reading a multitude of different ways. I don’t think anything is better then opening up a handbook book and reading it but with life on the go that is not always the easiest thing to do. I find myself reading books on my tablet as well as listening to audiobooks. I find a way to keep reading apart of my life no matter what.
When you’re in a book store, what section do you gravitate to and why?
It honestly depends my mood on what genre I gravitate towards the most. When I am in season and going through tough days I like reading self help or motivational books that will help me remain dedicated. In the offseason I tend to read a lot of fiction as well as business books. Fiction books are my guilty pleasure, I loved reading the Hunger Games series. I read business books because outside of my NFL career I consider myself business minded and I like to stay up to date with my business interest as well.
