Allan MeltzerCarnegie Mellon University and the American Enterprise InstituteMeltzer has chaired the Shadow Open Market Committee, a self-appointed watchdog for the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy. He is professor of political economy at Carnegie Mellon University, visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and the author of several books, most recently "A History of the Federal Reserve: 1913-1951."
