In High School: Named Miss Basketball and the Gatorade Player of the Year in South Carolina, Nikki Jett was rated as the 49th best player according to the Blue Star Report. Jett was named honorable mention All-American by Street and Smith Magazine and fourth team all-American by Full Court Press.

2000-2001: Has played in 22 games for Rutgers this season, averaging 7.7 minutes per contest … Is averaging 2.1 points, 0.5 rebound, 0.5 assist and 0.2 steal per game… In her first collegiate game against California Nov. 17 she tallied season bests of two rebounds and four assists in 19 minutes … Scored four points at Massachusetts Dec. 10 connecting on all four of her free-throw attempts … Also scored four points against West Virginia Jan. 17… Made two of three (.667) three-point field-goal attempts to help Rutgers come back and defeat Miami 39-37 Jan.27… Scored six points against the Hurricanes… Also stole the ball with less than 20 seconds on the clock to keep Miami from taking the lead … Collected eight points in 10 minutes at Old Dominion Jan.31… Scored a season high nine points on 4-of-5 (.800) shooting against Seton Hall Feb. 20.
