TTC Panelists react to State Of The Union

January 29, 2014

The President provided a comprehensive vision for expanding opportunity and improving lives.  Touching on everything from the need to grow a green economy, to expanding access to quality education from the early years on up, to calling for both equal pay and paid leave for those with caregiving responsibilities, this is an agenda built for American families.  This is an agenda for a better America. - Avis A. Jones-DeWeever

The President did a great job highlighting pay inequality, the gendered impact of economic inequality, but after 141 anti-choice bills were proposed, Obama no strong message on reproductive rights. That is very disappointing.- Anushay Hossain
