Basically, this is the main hub for food donations.
Food going in and food going out for people in need.
A lot of the volunteers do the jobs of building boxes, filling boxes, sorting cans.
The other staff is just normal day to day operations.
Oh, fresh food is pretty much king around here.
We pride ourselves on on distributing as much fresh food as we can.
We have hills and valleys of items that we need today.
We had plenty of cereal when we started the day.
And right now we're out of cereal.
So it's just one of those things.
We just fill gaps when we need them.
People think that, Oh, it's only the people that are homeless or it's the only the people that are really, really down on their luck.
And we're seeing, you know, full time employees that are coming to get food.
They just can't seem to make it till the end of the month or the end of the week.
Could be a medical expense.
It could just be, hey, it's been cold and your heating bill has gone up a couple hundred bucks this month.
And that means you can't afford to go to the store and pay the prices that you need.
It takes a lot of food to do what we do.
We serve about 16,000 people a year.
And that is a lot of food and a lot of mouths to put in.
